Team Congo PDX Sponsors 14 Women in Eastern Congo Through Women for Women International Through April 2015

Meet our Sisters

 

Maria: 31-40 years old, married with 5 sons & 1 daughter. 

 

Kate: 18-24 years old, single with 1 son.

 

Jessica: 18-24 years old, single with 1 son & 1 daugher.

 

Cindy: 31-40 years old, separated, with 2 sons & 2 daughers. 

 

April: 18-24 years old, married, with 1 son & 1 daugher.

 

Mary: over 50 years of age, widowed, with 2 sons & 3 daughers. 

 

Jane: 31-40 years old, separated, with 2 sons & 3 daughters. 

 

 

Each of these women live in DR Congo where woman like her have survived war, hunger and abuse.  Each of these women have spent the past year learning skills needed to change their lives, and in April of this year each will be embarking on their new lives.  Take a moment and send them a message of encouragement and support today. 

 

Thank you to everyone who participated in our 2014 Group Run, and to everyone who submitted letters to our 14 sisters sponsored between May 2014 and April 2015.  A special thank you to the Never Again Coalition for supporting not only our 2014 charity group run, but also for taking the time to submit letters to our 14 sisters.

Natalie: 25-30 years old, married with 1 son & 3 daughter. 

 

Lisa: 25-30 years old, separated with 1 son & 4 daughers.

 

Grace: 25-30 years old, married with 1 son & 2 daughers.

 

Nicole: 18-24 years old, widowed, with 1 son & 2 daughers. 

 

Pauline: 25-30 years old, married, with 4 sons & 1 daugher.

 

Sarah: 41-50 years old, married with 2 sons & 3 daughers. 

 

Ann: 18-24 years old, Married wtih 1 son & 1 daughter.
